Prayer & Meditation
Prayer, which consists of brief silent meditation, simple hymns and devotional songs, is held in the hostels both in the morning and evening. Presence at prayer is compulsory. To acquaint students with the spiritual heritage of India, regular value-oriented classes are conducted according to a carefully designed curriculum.
Spiritual Activities
Students actively organize and participate in socio-religious programmes, devotional gatherings and national celebrations. They also take part in important religious festivals at Belur Math, helping them develop a deep appreciation of India's spiritual traditions and cultural heritage.
Character Formation
Students are encouraged to become self-reliant, active and socially responsible. They learn to maintain their own rooms, take care of the shrine, participate in gardening and assist fellow students whenever necessary. These activities cultivate leadership, discipline, cooperation and a spirit of service while making the hostel feel like a true home.
