Rules for Admission
Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira admits students on the basis of academic merit, performance in the admission test and/or interview, and suitability for the fully residential system of the College. Candidates are expected to satisfy the prescribed eligibility criteria and follow the admission process notified by the College.
The admission procedure is designed to identify students who possess academic potential, discipline and the willingness to participate in the unique residential and value-based educational environment of the institution.

Norms of Admission for Various Undergraduate Courses
Students who have passed the Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or any equivalent examination in the current or earlier session may apply for admission to the First Year of the Degree Course.
For admission, candidates must qualify in the admission test and/or interview conducted by the respective departmental teachers. The suitability of the candidate for the residential hostel system is also taken into consideration before final selection.

Norms of Admission for Various Postgraduate Courses
Students who have appeared or passed the Degree Examination of the University of Calcutta (or any other recognised University) in the current or earlier session may apply for admission to the first year of the postgraduate programme.
Admission is based on the performance of candidates in the admission test and/or interview conducted by the respective departments. Suitability of the candidate for the hostel is also taken into account.
