Vidyarthi Samsad of Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira
One unique feature of Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira is that it has no students' union with political affiliation. Since Ramakrishna Mission is a non-political organization, students are expected not to participate in political activities during their period of study. The Vidyarthi Samsad works harmoniously with the College Administration and the Teachers' Council for the academic, cultural and overall development of the college.
Subcommittees
Assists in organizing sports and games events throughout the year and the annual sports meet.
Coordinates the publications of Vidyamandira Patrika (the college annual magazine), Shraddha and Seva (college wall magazines), and Naivedya, Arghya, Prayas, Bodhan and Navarun (hostel wall magazines).
Helps conduct cultural programmes on occasions such as Bhratrivaran, Saraswati Puja, Saradotsava, Bangla Navavarsha, Independence Day, Republic Day and various intra-college and inter-college competitions throughout the year.
Renders assistance in organizing religious celebrations such as Bhratrivaran and Saraswati Puja.
Coordinates weekly seminars, students’ colloquium and memorial lectures.
Participates in library policy decisions including purchase of books, reference materials and long-term issue books. It also represents students regarding library matters and grievances.
Helps in supervising construction and maintenance activities.
Assists in supervising electrical maintenance and related activities.
