Hostel Facility
All hostel rooms are provided with tube lights and fans. A standby generator facility is available during power cuts. Lanterns or torches are not permitted for late-night study after 11:00 PM.
Boarders are provided with bedsteads and tables. Students should bring their own bedding (including bed sheet, bed cover, table cloth and mosquito curtain) along with a plate, glass, cup, three sets of college uniform, dhoties and other personal articles of use, preferably new.
Each hostel has been provided with three separate telephone connections, which may be used with a prepaid "Cash Card" for outgoing calls.
Purified drinking water is available in all the hostels.
Solar water-heating systems have been installed with UGC funding. Hot water is available throughout the year for students.
A Boys' Store operates within the college premises where students can purchase daily-use items.
A saloon functions within the hostel campus.
A photocopier unit is available where students and staff can photocopy relevant documents on payment of the prescribed charges.
A canteen named Annapurna Sarada Bhandar serves students, teachers and staff of Vidyamandira. Boys can purchase a variety of tiffin items from this canteen.
Another canteen provides refreshments to students. Students of RKMVERI, RKM Shilpamandira (ITI), RKM Sikshanamandira (Teachers' Training College) and other nearby academic institutions also use these facilities. Both canteens remain open from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
